MUSIC DIRECTOR
Brooke is a theatrical music director, experienced with both stick and piano conducting and known for being an effective communicator and open-minded collaborator. Having completed the musical theater conducting minor at Berklee, Brooke has learned many of the tools essential to being a successful music director. At Berklee, she was selected to be a music director for the Curtain Up concert in April 2024, which featured original songs that won the Curtain Up new works contest. She's also worked extensively with Boston University On Broadway, a theater group on the BU campus. She music directed Spring Awakening in November 2023 with a small cast and 5 piece band, and in April 2024 she music directed Anastasia with a 25 person cast and 12 piece orchestra. Her work in Anastasia earned her an award from Boston University On Broadway for Best Music Direction of the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 season. She also served as the Assistant Music Director for the Berklee Musical Theater Club's Annual Fundraising gala in October 2023.
Brooke also had the unique experience of serving as the president for the Broadway Band a student run group at Berklee dubbed "Berklee's premiere orchestra for musical theater." As president of the club, she worked in casting, set list decisions, organizing schedules, mediating conflicts, and executing the overall vision for the club. Brooke began music directing in high school. Some previous music direction credits included Peter and the Starcatcher, Legally Blonde, Quilters, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Matilda and The Wizard of Oz. The first show she ever piano-conducted was Freaky Friday when she was 16. Her work on Freaky Friday earned her an All-Star recognition from the Nashville Spotlight Awards. She also music directed an adjudicated production of Alice in Wonderland for the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta in January 2020 which earned the production an award for Best Ensemble and her personally an All-Star recognition for her work.

As a music director, Brooke pulls from her experience as an actor , writer, director, private instructor and pit musician to understand the perspective of all the people in the productions. Beyond the music, she strives to create a warm environment that's built on effective communication and open collaboration on all productions she works on.
